SARAH GAUTREY

SARAH GAUTREY
Born 28th February 1994, Cambridge.
After earning a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins in London in 2016, Sarah spent time working abroad and traveling, before moving to Bristol, where she currently resides.
Sarah has loved creating since she was a child; whether it was illustration, watercolour painting or analogue photography. When she discovered collage art during her Art Foundation Diploma in Art & Design in 2012, she became hooked, and lost herself in this new way of expressing her thoughts and feelings.
Today Sarah creates hand cut collages using vintage books and magazines, drawing inspiration from everyday life, the natural world, and the universe around her. By combining images, she aims to evoke emotions and convey messages. She finds the process of creating these pieces therapeutic, and her hope is that the artwork resonates with others—whether it sparks a thought, a feeling, or simply puts a smile on someone's face.
